Winter Carnival 2024 was a BLAST!!! (The pictures say it all!)

We had guest speakers visit 7/8th grade guidance class recently to share about their various career paths, and wanted to praise all the 7th/8th grade students. They were fantastic listeners and very respectful.
Here are a few quotes from students of what they learned:
"It's ok to fail"
"I learned how choosing your career isn't always a straight path."
"That it is okay to search before you find your calling."
"That no matter where you are, you can work your way up!"
"They all thought it was important to love your job"
It was so wonderful to see how engaged the students were in listening to our community guests.
Wednesday, March 6th we're looking for guest speakers to share their career path with 7th/8th grade students. We'd love to hear about why you are passionate about your careers, what are some challenges or things that haven't gone well along the way, and what skills/training are needed. Please reach out to Jill Davis, school counselor, jdavis@aos93.org if you're interested in visiting.
