4th Grade students began spring tennis lessons with Miss Georgia at the Y.


Fourth graders working on special STEM projects with Ms. Jen. Building Newton's Cradles, perfect paper airplanes and creating stop-motion videos.

PreK tried out their new rain suits paid for by a grant from Maine Environmental Education Association. They were able to learn how to tap a maple tree on this rainy Wednesday and will get to participate in making maple syrup next week.

Hey GSB community! Study those Pi numbers! The GSB Pi Day Celebration will take place on March 14th. All grade-level winners will compete for a chance to throw out the first pitch at a Seadogs game AND throw a pie at a favorite teacher!


Ms Tracy’s class reviewed our school matrix when we returned from vacation. Students enjoyed using their acting skills to show they to be respectful, responsive, and safe at GSB. They also have non examples which led to lots of laughter and fun.





Second graders had a blast at Winter Carnival!




Fifth graders used augmented reality to design ecosystems, ensuring their animals have plenty of food, water, and a supportive environment to thrive!






6th graders had a chance to check out our new microscopes! We checked out granules of salt, sand and sugar!






5th graders reading expository nonfiction books in small groups!




4th-8th participated in real-life science investigations with state of the art technology in the Maine Mobile Biolab this week. GSB was one of the lucky award recipients to be given this opportunity with this exciting new initiative from Educate Maine.

6th grade mathematicians are mastering division with decimals.
