Girls on the Run is an after-school empowerment program designed for 3rd to 5th graders. This is a rescheduled event from November. Judy Sanders, an educational and community consultant, has been hired to facilitate and organize our community’s vision for our public school. The committee would like all those interested in GSB’s future to attend. More importantly, anybody interested in joining the committee will have an opportunity to learn more about participating. Congratulations to Jade in 7th grade for winning first place in the 5-8 spelling bee and to Owen in 7th grade for taking second place! Jade and Owen will move onto the regional competition which will take place at GSB in February. Also congratulations to Ms Campbell for winning the 2024 GSB staff spelling bee!
Louisa Crane from Coastal Rivers visited the first grade art classes earlier in the month to introduce this year’s poster contest. The contest is titled, May The Forest Be With You Always.
Students participated in a variety of activities to learn about forest ecosystems and reenacted the lifecycle of a tree.
