Ms. Peaslee joined the 7th and 8th graders in 4 square for Fun Friday. Other activities students can choose include square bocce ball, bracelet making, board games, ping pong, and basketball.

First graders learning about the sun and their shadows. In the morning, students traced each other’s shadow. They came back in the afternoon to find that their shadow moved even though they were standing in the same spot!

The 1st and 2nd Grade Multiage Class have begun their Erosion and Earth’s Surface Unit! They had fun learning more about how water moves along the Earth’s surface.
Mrs. Farnsworth’s kindergarteners enjoyed their first visit to the outdoor classroom in the school forest.

Third graders used engineering and teamwork to build the tallest possible tower in thirty minutes using only paper, scissors, and tape. We tested each tower and all of them held a roll of tape for a minute. Well done young engineers!

Ms Karen from FARMs at the Y came to visit our third graders. We discussed kitchen habits and knife skills then taste tested locally grown cucumbers and carrots! We can’t wait for our monthly cooking lesson and trying lots of new recipes. So fortunate to collaborate with one of our community partners.
First week in PE with k-5 was wonderful with team building skills, building classroom contracts, and fun! Can’t wait for the rest of the year!

Third graders attempted to build a catapult without and instructions. They found it very challenging and were unsuccessful. After discussing what they needed, they were given an article about what a catapult is and instructions. Realizing one of the powers of reading is learning how to do new things! We also discussed how in non-fiction pictures help us better understand. They successfully built a catapult and launched marshmallows across the room.
