Kindergarten students explored the fascinating world of penguins. They learned about the environments where penguins live and discovered what makes these birds unique. The children had fun pretending to be penguins, writing stories about them, listening to related tales, and creating a habitat using puffy paint!-Mrs. Pendleton

First graders are learning about the solar system and space during science. Last week we learned about constellations and created our own constellation by drawing the design and naming it. A fun craft and experiment included paper rockets with straws to see how far they would fly. - Mrs. Goud , First Grade Teacher

On Wednesday and Thursday Grade 4 had the opportunity to meet with Dan Lemieux, a retired shop and robotics teacher. Students had recently been working on honing their measuring skills, and Dan provided a hands-on way to practice those skills. Under Dan's guidance, fourth graders constructed wooden key hangers. They were able to measure to the nearest 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, and 1/16 of an inch in order to create their pieces. -Ms. Winchenbach & Mr. York
